Sun conjunct Moon:

A new moon baby.  There are two types of “new moon babies;” One born at the end of the Lunar cycle, the other born at the beginning.  This is determined by the Moon’s relationship with the Sun.  If it is separating from the Sun (moving away) then it is a fresh Lunar cycle.  The Moon is waxing, the light is growing.  These individuals are charismatic, nurturing, naive, sensuous, driven, and simply living symbols for humanity.  They have the wonder and care of a new born child.  If the Moon is closing it’s Lunar cycle, if it is waning, the qualities are quite different.  These are the individuals who are observing life in a sense.  They are deeply sensitive, psychic even, with the need to differentiate between their own emotions and from those of others.  Steven Forrest calls this Moon the “Mystic Wanderer.” Both of these aspects–Moon before or after the Sun–create an incredibly subjective individual.  Part of the life path here is to cultivate more objectivity.  To leave the nest and experience the myriad manifestations of reality outside of themselves.  It will be challenging mainly because of deep seated attachments which exist in their hearts.  Attachments to the home, to parents, to relationships, to food, to pretty much anything.  The Sun and Moon, like the Yin and the Yang create a potent fusion of opposing forces.  This creates an unparalleled Will Power within these Souls.  Anything is possible as long as they can cultivate an objective awareness of their constantly changing emotional states.
